Write for us

We welcome clear, original proposals about leisure, outings and pastimes that fit Northern Leisure Guide. A strong contribution gives readers a useful way to think through a choice, plan or activity without pretending one answer suits everyone.

What to pitch

Send ideas for a specific article rather than a broad request to write about leisure. A pitch might explain a comparison between two ways to spend an afternoon, unpack a useful planning choice or give readers a fresh way to approach a familiar pastime. The proposed subject should suit the site's categories and remain useful beyond a passing trend.

What makes a good proposal

Tell us the working title, the main point, who the piece is for and what practical takeaway it offers. Explain the approach and any material you would rely on. Keep claims verifiable, flag relevant interests or relationships, and do not present invented experience as reporting. We do not need a finished article to consider a clear pitch.

How to send it

Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option or explain that your message is a pitch. Include a way to reply in the form. Do not send confidential information or work that depends on unverified claims.
