Editorial policy

Northern Leisure Guide aims to make its coverage accurate, useful and clear about what it can and cannot establish. We separate general suggestions from details a reader may need to confirm for a particular place or occasion.

Accuracy and clarity

We check factual claims against appropriate information before publication and use specific language rather than presenting an impression as a fact. Articles should remain useful without relying on unsupported statistics, invented first-hand experience or claims that require professional expertise. Where circumstances can vary by place or over time, we say so and avoid presenting a general account as a local guarantee.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for readers, not as a promise of favourable coverage to a partner. A proposed collaboration does not determine whether a subject is covered or what an article says. We do not claim that a mention is an endorsement.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error or unclear wording, contact us through the Contact page and identify the article and detail. We review specific, checkable concerns and make corrections where needed. The wording of an article may also be clarified when a change would help readers understand it.

Partner material and illustrations

Paid or otherwise arranged partner material is labelled so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage. Partner placements are identified where they appear, and a commercial relationship does not buy an editorial conclusion. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when this applies, the image is identified as AI-generated.
